They really want to keep your change now.

Pilot and Flying J have been asking to round up lately... But they are legitimately donating all that money to Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

 

Ask them if they will round it down to help a driver out

 

I've seen a few places doing this. I think it's a little bit of a PR stunt to make asking for your spare change not look so bad.

 

I thin knots kind of cool that they ask to round up. A few coins towards a good cause don't hurt. They ask me to do that and I usually pay with a card. Its borderline pointless to pay with cash these days. Very few places require me to use cash, maybe an occasional farmer's market that I go to

 

Change shortage. BS. Pure BS. Just another way businesses are trying to keep a little more of your money, coupled with our crazy society thinking you are going to die if you touch anything right now.

 

Ya and that money of yours that they are "donating" gets them a tax write off.

 

I do that anyway and I think most people are happily on board with it. I prefer cash for a lot of things but haven't carried change in years except in my ashtray. Still, I'll get a bigger ashtray before I give more to a billion dollar corporation.
