    Yes. But in my opinion the student should be doing at least some homework beforehand. As I noted in the OP, this is a general school as opposed to a particular carrier's CDL training. Many of these questions should be asked of a recruiter.

    Bottom line, so many potential drivers have done almost NO homework regarding what they are getting into. Forums like this along with company websites can provide a pretty good amount of info for folks inclined to research.

    I think the one that will stick with me from training is from a guy who had NEVER been in a big truck before and was going to get his turn behind the wheel:

    "How fast does this thing go?"

    Not the question you want to hear as a passenger. He apparently passed because I saw him at a cattle-call here recently with my carrier. So, the answer is "63."
