If you're a company driver, the company pays for fuel, repairs, permits etc. You may have to pay for some minor things like some tolls, out of pocket, but that stuff gets reimbursed.
-
Don't forget the $10 fee due whenever a senior driver deigns to speak to a lowly newbie.
I'll take mine now.Ex-Con-Trucker and keepntruckin Thank this. -
Showers are usually free when you purchase at least 50 gallons of fuel at a truckstop.
You will need to pay for your own meals while on the road. Soft drinks, snacks, cigarettes, music, movies, internet access, cell phone, laundry services, clothes, boots, jackets, gloves, paper, pens, rulers, calculator, briefcase, logbook cover/organizer, GPS, Motor Carriers Atlas, tire thumper, tire gauge, 50' air hose, flashlight/batteries, satellite radio, laptop computer, tools, bungee cords/straps, laundry bag, duffel bag, toiletries, sheets, sleeping bag, blanket, pillows, and meds.
Parking tickets, speeding tickets, pretty much any ticket issued to YOU will be on you own dime as well.Last edited: Mar 4, 2012
