I couldn't find anything on this topic but apologize if it has already been answered.
What do truckers do for fun on the road? I.E. Bars, Books, TV... I would love some input on this.
Things to do in your down time...?

You are more than welcome to go to a bar, just don't drink anything. If you choose to drink while on a 34, get a hotel room.
As for things to do, this all depends on your interests. What do you like to do at home? The same things can probably be done in the truck. Gamer? Bring a small Tv and your gaming system on the road with you. Enjoy reading? Buy an e-reader. Prefer to be outside? Bring a bicycle or just your walking shoes. I could go on, but I'm sure you get the idea. -
Drinking while on your 10 break is begging for trouble if you're involved in an accident the next day. Not worth the consequences. Having a beer bottle in your truck.....might as well take a gun to the White House. Same result.
I used to get tagged every time I took a weekend in Laredo, TX. Drug and alcohol test.
Hell, the way I look at it. If I'm sitting for 2 or 3 days, it's open season. I just made sure I stopped drinking WELL in advance of being dispatched. 24-36 hours. -
where do you store a bike?

I like my beer. And I've drank a few over the years while on the road, but only while shut down and off duty, which you are allowed to do. I've drank them in a bar, in the truck, outside the truck in the back row, in a motel room, in a restaurant/bar etc. There is a difference between having a beer or two to relax and drinking a 12 er to get smashed and then a few hours sleep and back in the driver's seat.
As for other things to do, it depends on you. Some guys can park it for 2 days, lay in the sleeper with the curtains closed and watch cartoons. Others need to get out of the truck and find something to do. Just remember, you are "attached" to the truck/load and can't wander too far. Choose your time/location if you can, as in Shamrock, Tx. VS. Dallas.
