Hey, we all work hard out here, and sometimes we just want to have fun, so I thought it would be an awesome idea to get a thread going on places you can get the rig into or near for some fun out of the truck when you have a trailer...these places can be casinos, malls, a favorite restaurant, anything you find fun, just post what it is, where its at (i.e. exit) and any other info we need to know!!!
Ill start
Kentucky down under Adventure zoo off I65 exit 58 in horse cave kentucky, it is right across the street from the Loves (I havent had time to go personally yet, but could be cool)
Firekeepers Casino, Battle creek, MI, there is a shuttle (5 dollars one way) that will run you over from the ta or pilot off I94 exit 104, pretty tasty buffet
Brookfield zoo just outside of chicago, off la grange road, I worked there a few years ago, and they allowed semis to park in the bus/rv parking (12 dollar fee), I would call ahead to make sure, and go on an off peak time
Things to see/do in a big rig

I am not letting any truckers find my secret spots otherwise they will go there and throw pee bottles and chicken bones out of the window and idle all night causing property owners to ban trucks. Or they would just take my parking spot that is always available.
wore out, Rigbuilder and mikec265 Thank this. -

I agree. Fun place for truckers.
Check out the truck stop section of this forum. Lots of discussion about fun places to stop. -
The options are literally endless. The Internet is a valuable resource here. When parked at a truck stop, use Google maps to see what's around. If in a bigger city, look for public transit options to reach museums, shopping, etc. Google "bike paths" if you want a place to walk or ride. Call ahead to sights/attractions you want to visit and ask about truck parking. If the truck stop employees aren't too busy, ask them what they would recommend- they live in the area and know it well. Just getting out of the truck stop to take a walk, I found some neat things I would have never known were there.
Redbone311 Thanks this.
