I pulled a step a lot of miles with a 234 iin 9400 international for a lot of miles, I always wanted and really needed 20 or so more inches , but it did the job MOST of the time.

Pull all the warranty work history. Probably nothing wrong with it. Trucks get sold or re po’d for all sorts of reasons. Even with a few past bugs, no big deal. Bugs worked out hopefully, also engine already broke in means better fuel economy. Check if it needs an overhead after initial break in. Wether it was done, or not.
