A local hauler (Pickup/cattle trailer, GN flatbed instate) talked to me the other day. He has some equipment in Indiana he wants to buy. Problem is he thinks it costs TOO MUCH to hire it delivered.
I told him "As its for business (his farm) he can drive his truck/small trailer and haul it himself" He complains "It would take me two days/cost too much" So I said. "And you complain folks think you charge too much?"
I am putting offer on Expidited truck this week. Have some work for it. Then try to sell it in yr for what I have into it.

Well first if you get even 500 miles, you will be lucky. Most of the loads are under 400 miles and you may end up doing three to four a week.

Second you will be spending too much money on that van. Tires should last 70 to 100k and 5k oil change, especially with synthetic that's a BIG waste of money. Stretch it out to at least 10k or 15k. I did 15k when I had my vans. My insurance wasn't 275 for six months, it was 145 a month because I didn't have a CMV but a van.

    RickG Thanks this.
