Hey buddy keep in mind that, that particular truck maybe coming up for overhaul. That will be very costly. Also, there are many factors to consider. You want to buy a truck that's goning fit the type of work you're going to perform. Get the complete history on that truck. You don't want to buy truck that was used for heavy hauling, therefore you get very low mileage rates and have more horsepower than you actually need to pull drive van or reefer. Also, stay away from certain fleet maintained trucks because those trucks were most likely used to train students or early professional drivers. Some companies turned trucks back in after they run up the milage from students and new driverse. Specially if you're going to buy a truck that has a manual, students love to tear up the gears. Because most companies have their own certified technicians they won't report damages or malfunctions because they are allowed to repair the truck's back to originality. Therefore you would never know if the truck had a major repair done or not.
Thinking about buying a 2008 Cascadia with 800,000 miles. What to look for?
