I don't know why Rand McNally can't seem to release products without OBVIOUS bugs!

The TND 730 that I have locks up and/or gives NAVI.EXE errors constantly.

And this is after this unit has already been sent in for locking up and white screen issues and had Rand McNally keep it for over a month!

So, just update your 720 and wait until they figure out the fixes for the 730.

My 720 updated with the latest software has almost all the features of the 730 AND IT ACTUALLY WORKS!

RM has had locking up issues for ages, my 510 and my 720 and now the 730. Frankly it likes to lock up in citys quite a bit, especially when trying to avoid low bridges. It becomes a brick and makes me glad I still plan with a physical map.

My 720 locked up for a little while when I first bought it. But they finally released a software update that fixed it.

It seems that they don't QA their products very well before they release them. They seem to let their customers troubleshoot their stuff for them.

I've been trying to run my 730 alongside my 720 but the 730 issues are so bad that it doesn't even seem to make sense to continue doing that.

I guess I'll send it back AGAIN and see if I can get a unit that will actually work for longer than 2-3 minutes at a time.

My Garmin has close to 500,000 miles on it. I got it in 2012 after two bad experiences with the RM 720. Needless to say the Garmin is the better buy.

Yeah, I have a Garmin Dezl 560 that has worked pretty well. I don't like the interface on the Garmins as well as the RMs.

I'm going to get the Garmin Dezl 770 soon.

I like having two different brands in the truck for various routing options.

I think the Garmins tend to be more accurate in the Northeast.

I think thAT rm is the worst option to purchase. Very bad routing and very bad speed limit. IF I had do to it again I would not buy a RM product. In fact will never buy another RM product.
Why would you buy a product that needs the buyers/Users of that product to improve the parameters of that product.
