He's an O/O with 39 years out here. He forgot how to truck apparently. Could've just taken 270 to 71. There's no GPS or anything that is going to make these guys think. As a matter of fact it stops them from thinking. A GPS is as only as good as the driver using it.

Tried RAND 720, bad laggy hardware. Garmin 760lmt-very nice interface, good customizable options, good hardware, basically I liked everything, but it just can not compare to Copilot when it comes to routing. Copilot on Nexus 7 first gen runs perfectly, recalculates instantly and gives nice useful routes when set up properly. It lacks some features of the Garmin and Rand, but it does not bother me, since I use Google maps a lot anyways. Oh and if you get an android tablet to run with Copilot, dont get high resolution screen, for example Nexus 7 2013 model. The navi directions text will look small

Example: I left Altavista, VA on my way to Casa Grande, AZ. I'm going 81, 40, 440, 30, 20, 10. GPS wanted me to take 40 all the way out and then some other routes. A longer route. Lol.

Actually this route is about 15 to 25 miles longer than running out 40 to Holbrook and down on the X77's. Coming down from Holbrook can be a hard run depending on the load, time of year and a few other factors.

Better to come down out of Amarillo to Clovis and over to Las cruces and across. Flatter and faster. Splits the difference between the two choices.

The least amount of miles is the other way though. That's what I was looking at. I don't get paid to go the flatter route! Lol. I try to stay to the least amount of miles because that's how I'm paid. IF it's practical of course. I'm not taking any back roads lol.

    your joking. RIGHT?????

PERHAPS you might want to stand out there and tell ALL the truckers they are NOT ALLOWED.

maybe even make a stickie thread of ALL the roads rand won't let us use because we're NOT allowed.

I don't make the restrictions, the States do. You can drive on the road if you desire, but you can also be ticketed if they so desire to pull you over.

Betrer yet get a paper atlas and use it. Never freezes up and have yet to get lost using that and Google maps to look at the area.
