It don't matter where you move to they're all the same.
The economy sucks so many will move around to try to make a check.
I see these kids getting out of OTR and think the oil field is the answer.
They may get one or to jobs a week sit for free a few hours on each end and go home empty.
Can not afford to replace tires or repair their rotted out trailer boards.
One break down away from being out of business.
Got one new guy who has had his cell phone shut off.
    Another with a transmission problem
Another a Paccar motor that will not run.
    Now whats the plan ?

Can’t throw in taxes. Different people have different amount they pay. I have a wife at home that didn’t work for someone and a whole bunch of kids so I don’t really ever pay any taxes but I averaged 1700 a week gross at a Reefer outfit. That’s not best pay that’s average.

That's still not $5k in 3 weeks after taxes.
And that's not going to be average for almost anyone.

Can you go with them right out of CDL school with no experience?

Is there a minimum amount of time these companies require you to be out if you’re leasing? In other words can I be out 4 days and come home for 4 days?

The time off is what’s also appealing to me since I’m retired. Can you comment on how you were able to take 3 months off? Schneider allows this to be done repeatedly? Did you just return the truck and come back to driving whenever you had time?

He says it his post. He had money put away go cover his costs while he was not working.

Looking at your questions, running a trucking business may not be for you. It's a full time job no matter how you cut it. It's not going to be a part time job, especially when you first start out.

No. I believe the minimum is 6 months as a company driver.
