Others seem to be successful with what Schneider offers and their offering seems to fit my need. Same with Roehl. Have you driven with Schneider?

I hear the new lease deal is $750 a week for 48 months with a $55K ish residential.
No owner supplied trucks have to be sfi supplied -
How much time would you have to spend out working to cover all business expenses for the whole month?
-
I would stay far away from Prime right now. I don't believe they're hiring at the same rate as people are quitting and I mean people are jumping ship fast with the implementation of the driver facing cameras.
-
I would only go work with prime on a straight lease since I’m working 8 months out of the year. I’ll work for 8 months and then I’ll turn in the truck. Then come back in 4-5 months and do the same or go with another company. I like that kind of flexibility.

If I already have a cdl but with 0 experience, can I start right away as a 1099 contractor? I’d like to do a straight lease with all income going to my LLC even during any kind of training.

Take what I'm saying with a grain of salt because it's been a while since I went through their process. I was a rehire with 5 years OTR experience so, I did the orientation (paperwork and online ########), DOT physical (they don't care how recent yours is you are getting another one), and classroom simulation safety class (driving a truck in a real simulator). Was put on the list for a truck after the simulator class. Since you don't have experience, you would definitely do time with a trainer. I've heard different numbers being thrown around when it comes to miles, 50k miles...40k miles. I'd just call a recruiter and ask but, Prime isn't going to hand someone keys to a brand-new truck who has zero experience.dave01282000 Thanks this.

This. By "right away" I meant after the initial training period if you don't have any experience. The number of miles required does indeed change, when I went through I already had my CDL and it was 40k miles. But once you upgrade you can absolutely go lease.
I normally wouldn't recommend going lease right away without first getting some company experience, but some guys have made it work.ajax1337 Thanks this. -
I actually spoke with a prime recruiter and was told that one can start as a lease operator right away. As long as you’re willing to pay for the lease that is.

I'd specifically clarify if that's for new CDL holders with no experience because I highly doubt it but then again Prime isn't what it once was so who knows who's doing what over there.
