    Who has these things mounted or using in their dashes? I googled 'portable solar panels'. Sounds great....but are they worth the money? Free to comment here or another thread where I talk about increasing fuel economy

    Looks like these are for recharging electrical devices, i.e. laptops, cell phones, ipods, etc. But why bother? I doubt charging these off your truck's cigarette lighter really affects fuel economy. Unless you frequently need to idle your truck for hours just to recharge your electronic devices, you're not going to realize any savings.

    Just a dumb layman's opinion...
