I stand corrected... its not YELLING... but it is kind of nerve racking and in the first two weeks IT WAS for the guys who were not getting it by a different set of instructors, maybe the echo carried through...

My posting is UNFAIR and I apologize, I thought about deleting it... but I rather leave it with an addendum... BECAUSE it kind of gives a snap shot of what's in store for the unsuspecting...

AFTER a nap you DO realize that you were having A LOT OF FUN

Well, been approved by Terminal Manager and Safety Director to become a Mentor. Questions have been answered, now just have to finally deicide to pull the trigger. Been real used to being the truck alone, but if the miles are there, like 5500/week, I can do with the extra pay. There are going to be some very serious rules on this truck, like when time to start work in the morning, no time to screw around. I am one, get from Point 1 to Point B, then shut down for the evening for about 12-14 hours. Then plenty of time to take care of things. We are out here to learn and not screw around. I will be sticking to my ways as far as Plus 1 and make sure that I teach the students about it. Also going to be Super Solo.

Good luck. You survived with the wife for a while, I think you can do this.

Yeah, but does the wife snore?! Ha. Good luck. 5500/week average sounds a bit steep, but my training was done during the slow time of year too.

Wives offer perks on the road that students don't..... I'd have to ask the hubby what 5500 a week would pay with penalties etc. That said Mentoring not his thing.
