Holee Schit !!!!!
Walleye, if your truck was running why didn't you turn on the heater?????
You have to turn the "engine" off to save fuel Walleye, not the "heater"..![]()
Thinking of buying, feel like I'm missing something

There are reefer companies where you can lease on to, but I'm not familiar with any in your area. Houg is one, but they're in Colorado.
I don't have an APU on my truck. I do plan on having some sort of system in place in the new to me truck, but that won't happen until later 2010 if things continue to go as planned. -
Gouged not once,...But twice!!!
I would like to think yous knew what I meant,...But I'll reword it,..
When I was running my trucking operation I wasn't idling at night, Thus I spent many long cold miserable nights trying to sleep so as to conserve as much fuel as possible because I was the one paying for it,.... -
Well the pleasure was all yours Walleye..
I try to only gouge a gouger, you know how it is..
Now that you've set things straight, might I suggest a sheepskin blowup doll to cope with your anti-idling ways.. -
Fortunately I no longer worry about idling,....I just go home after work,...Though thermostat is set at 60 degrees,...359kool Thanks this. -
And look for a truck that already has an apu on it. They're just as plentiful and cheap as the ones that don't have them. But remember this, just because that truck you may be looking at has a nice thermoking apu on it does not automatically mean the truck's value is $10,000 greater. Which is exactly what some dealers will try to tell you. If it's a genset that's several years old and has a few thousand hours on it - it most likely only has a residual value of about $1,000 to $2,000.poorrednek Thanks this. -
There was an old T600 this summer at a dealer up in MI that was purchased, driven down to TX to the co. the guy was going to lease on with & got turned away. Think they said he tried several other avenues before turning the truck back in at a loss to get some cash back in his pocket. That was their story, can only imagine what his point of view was.

In '07, I leased on to Jones Express out of their Tx. office over the phone and some faxing also. They sent me a contract/decals/ifta/fuel card etc via Fed Ex. I was then dispatched to Oxnard, Ca from Az. to get a load and deliver in Tx. I then went to the office for orientation, which was a formality at that point.
