    I always prefer to buy used trucks. Look for lower mileage units and check them out thoroughly. The difference in payment can be as much 50% of new. And insurance would be less as well.

    One of the biggest things to look at is the mpg rating when buying any truck, new or used.

    Assuming $4.25 cost per gallon, a truck getting:
    5.0 mpg = $.85 per mile
    6.0 mpg = $.71 per mile
    7.0 mpg = $.61 per mile

    BIG difference!

    Listen to those who are driving 65 or under. They are definitely realizing cost savings to their business.
