Xpo pay looks like a clone of conways if not a little betterm.
I inquired for giggles thru a quick app.
They give up quick!
Only 6 phone calls lol.
Might go thru them instead way better sign on bonuses.
It'll be the xpo guys not the conway guys that are getting the bad end of the stick.paul_4lp Thanks this. -
Just for ####s and giggles, how much better is pay and sign-on bonus? -
Was suggested a .45 CPM home full two day weekend dedicated customer not routes. Claiming 2300 miles a week.
$8000 over 180 days bonus.
Bonuses have missled since they did the recruiting events in Indy/Columbus etc.
Laredo had quite a few of those with even higher bonuses at the time.
Not bad for a company gig
$50 a day cushion bonus.
$200 a day gross.
Its the two days off that makes it way better than conway wage wise.
I'm going down to Florida in February and wouldn't get the bonus. Got a tryout camp for college wooden bat leagues again.paul_4lp Thanks this. -
Gotta be honest to say, I am former employee of CWTL. Going to cut through the chase and just be frankly honest with everyone here. It's true they leave you alone if you are doing your job. It's true they don't pay that well. It's true you do spend weeks out on the road at a time. Everything is true about CWTL. If you have a family back at home you would like to see on a regular basis. This isn't the place to be. It's true, I have met some wonderful people at CWTL. No question about it. I have finally got to where I want to be in my career and be home more for my family. Yeah, I missed out on a lot being away from home because of deployments in the military, and trucking. I don't regret it, nor will I ever. Now, I make a really good living driving a daycab truck automatic transmission that is brand new. Never have to worry anymore about anything. My benefits through my employer is extremely hard to beat. Even a long time CWTL veteran driver doesn't even come close. Even a Wal-mart driver isn't close to what I make now or the benefits I have with my employer. There's good money to be made in truck driving. You have to find the right one. I think I heard one CWTL Veteran driver makes 70 per year. Not bad money. Wal-mart driver makes 80 grand a year. Again, that's not bad money. This day and time, and the way the cost of living keeps on going up. 60k a year will be the poverty level soon. My direct deposit is consistent every week. I have 20% of my gross wages going into my 401k. I will still pay taxes on it, because it will be over a certain amount per year you are allowed. I may have to start an IRA to offset my 401k tax penalty.

So, where do you work driving a day cab making more than a Walmart driver?
FreightlinerGuy Thanks this. -
I do.
I made almost $800 gross in one day last week.
;p
Loving me that union double pay and time & half. Much rather have an unpredictable wild schedule than make a $150 a day at conway suckload in a slow white automated truck every day. -
Well, good for you.
As a dedicated driver, my miles are pretty predictable, I'm off every weekend (they even get me to Texas ever other weekend to see my girlfriend) and I make more than $150 a day in my slow, white, automated truck.
So, it works well for me.
Since I have my own mind/principles, I'm not willing to join a union and support their liberal political agenda.
To each his own. -
I guess.
Thing is my cdl license state is a right to work state. Company is in a labor state.
No joining the union for me. Home everyday.
The only thing liberal about it is the extra spending dollars
Dedicated at Conway truckload ?
Good luck with that.
840$ guarantee at Waco over 6 days... Passssssss.
Freight is a decent gig but truckloads pay just flat out sucks. Its really bad.
Walmart ain't tops by no means ethier but still a good job.
