Ive been with this company for about 7 months and havent been late(that was my fault), complained about crappy loads, been rude to anybody, complained about sitting, or anything. This morning(9am), I shot off a msg to disp asking for a load, and of course was told theres nothing...and to keep checking the QC every 30 minutes. Finally 12pm rolls around, so I send another message asking for a load. I was promptly sent a load offer. Now this has me wondering. Just how long was this load available for me, but not assigned to me? This has happened many times in the past, but I just shrug it off. Im thinking that he may want to 'save' it for other drivers or just forgetting that Im MT?
I dont want to be labled as a complainer, but I just dont think this is right. What do you think?

Perhaps the load came available at the same time as your query.

I thought that too, but all the past instances have played out exactally as this one did. Coincidence every single time? I find that hard to believe.

GN, I hear ya! I will have sat 2.5 days until I pick this load up. Arrived at consignee and waited 1 day to del load, then sat for 1.5 days. :biggrin_2555:

So when you pick the load up ask the shipper when they notified dispatch .
When I hauled RV's most of the terminals I pulled for were good to work with but I hated pulling out of Bristol , IN . They would have 20 or more drivers sitting all morning waiting for loads . Loads nobody wanted , like to Canada or Long Island came available early . About mid-afternoon there would be sudden availability of 15-20 loads . But here's the real kicker . There was a $25 spotter fee for local drivers to bring the loads from the manufacturer and drop the trailer at the terminal . There'd only be 2 or 3 local drivers so to keep you from having to wait hours for the load they'd do you a favor and let you follow them to the manufacturer and get the load there - but they still charged you the spotting fee .
