hey everyone as some of u know im in the trash haulin business and been doing it for a while just shy of a year and its ok good money and i can be home every day if i wanted but ive always wanted to pull flats and do over the road everything was going good with my company until the boss decided to drop the speed on all the trucks down to 72 mph to save fuel. which is not to big of a deal but it still sucks...
Well today i got a phone call from LLP co. out of jefferson maine offering me a job out of the blue they run all 48 pulling flatbeds in all black peterbilt 379s ungoverned 550 cat motors with no gps or quallcom. they have 29 trucks at the moment and are buying new trucks every week. so apparently they're growing.
i talked to a buddy of mine that lives in the area and knows some of the drivers said theyre a good company to work for full bennies (which my company has none) great pay if u know how to run and beautiful equipment. but they run HARD and ur out for 3 weeks at a time. which is fine with me.
my question to you guys is. does anyone here work for them or know of them and if so what are they like ive never noticed theyre trucks before.
another question is should i leave the cushy trash hauling gig to do otr flatbed
and the last question is i looked up LLP's csa but that stuff is like greek to me so if anyone can shed some light on there score it would be awesome this is there dot number 998452
thinking of going flatbed

Lots of reckless driving (80%), Lots of HOS violations (77%) and their vehicle maintainence is at 67% with their trucks put out of service 23% of the time. Those are not good numbers. My guess is that "Great pay if you know how to run" means lie on a logbook.

I actually just left Maine and on my way out i really had to pee. but anyway, i pulled into the closest and most convient for my truck. It just so happened to be the company you are asking about. I spent almost two hours there with the owner of this place and i have to say i was very impressed! He went over there pay and everything you would want to know about a place before you work there, unlike most other companys, he showed me on paper not just told me what i wanted to hear. About there trucks.... these have got to be the most bad ##### petes on the road!! He also walked me out to several trucks to look at them and i picked one out and needless to say i will be joining LLP's team next week. If you have two or more years otr i would recomend that you look into them. -
