How was it like when you went to CDL school to learn how to double shift and downshift? My biggest trouble is learning how to double shift, down shift, and backing into spaces lol but I know with a lot of practice it comes with ease.

You said it best.....it takes a lot of practice. The shifting will get easy very quickly. The backing was the difficult part, particularly the alley dock and parallel. We had to double clutch in school, then when I went out with a trainer, he put an end to double clutching

Generally, I'm nice to the clueless but I'm with @SteerTire on this one.

Also, I had to Google Kinesiology. That was money well spent.

It's pretty easy to make 60k as a company driver after or even within two years.
I wouldn't want to be an O/O for that money.

A round of cancer battle over 9 months turned me grey pretty much instantly still in my 30's Its incredible. But it's settled down quite a bit in the 50's now.

I wish to express on the side a little bit as a homeowner who put the trades to work on our dwelling and property many times. They usually had a younger soul in his 20's or so well on his way to become a master at some point in the future. These are the people who will be outrageously successful in life without a dallop of that fancy wasteful college crap.

I went to college not much more than around 16 years ago and found it to be a cesspool. However all of that including the debt is water under the bridge, a 46000 total loss in our life. Could have bought a older large car with that. Ha.

Community college is the way to go. By the time i was with my trainer i could float gears and was decent at backing.

Make the investment to go to nursing school you seem like you want to serve people which want leave you. Make the sacrifice I understand the need to make a living & not living paycheck to paycheck. Don't give up on your dreams. All the best to you

Yeah it's kind of hard when Im living paycheck to paycheck and my job sucks right now, it took me a couple months to finally find a job and that's contacting my old manager -_-. I was thinking of maybe trucking for a few years and possibly opening up my own business or use that money for nursing school, but I am going to focus on my wife first. Im trying to save up enough money for her to go into microblading school, which is like $2500 for 4 days. And then it's my turn to decide if I want to go into trucking or try to get into nursing school.
