if your having doubts then evaluate your options. Truck driving requires alot of driving especially first starting out. I always tell people if you dont like driving then its is not an option for you. Sometimes there are places that are local that will higher fresh drivers for local jobs. they might not be high paying jobs. Getting a CDL is a big plus.

I'm sure around Columbus you can at least get a job as a yard jockey. Some of those pay $20+ per hour and require a class A CDL.

In my opinion you might as well finish school if you can and apply to every local job out there. If you don't get one no harm no foul as you would be in that same place that are going to be if you quit school. In other words you would have to find another job regardless.

    ewill71 Thanks this.

I work for dist trans out of columbus as a Yard guy. It's good money and an easy job. Though they usually want experience (insurance reasons). Send me a pm if interested.

If you are not positive then you should quit now before you waste any more of your time or the schools .

There is nothing wrong with changing your mind. Trucking is not for everyone !
