Who has went through a third party recruiter? Good experience or bad? Seeing ads and job listings here in Central FL for them and pretty close to what I'm trying to find, (local, regional, no touch loads, weekend hometime). So far I've seen T.R.E., Drive United, Trillium, and Bluefire Trucking. Was straight truck local for 22 years, upgraded to my "A" went OTR for 4 months (Sept 2014-Dec 2014) Things happened, (family situations), i bit the bullet came off the road to a local job, still T/T, that didn't work out, went back on straight truck for about a year now. Just laidoff at that job, now looking to get back to T/T. Been looking for a thread on third party recruiter experiences but haven,t found much, so far.

Bad. Most work for either companies that can't keep meat in the seat or companies that have no business being in trucking.

totally idiotic. don't know anything about the company or the job they are recruiting for, have no answers and want you to fill out endless paperwork so they can take their cut.

and if the company cares so little about the position to use a recruiting service, i doubt they care much about their people either.

I would go directly to the company because they'll be the ones that have the final say so if you're hired or not.you can find a job quicker then them finding you one.

Their ads come up on Facebook and people comment, asking questions about the job. Same answer everytime:"Give us a call."

Thank you for your replies everyone. What everyone has said is pretty well the thought I had. They may not be worth looking into if they can't do their own advertising, although I did a little more searching on the web and finally found some reviews on one of the places I listed. More bad than good. I'll just save them as a last resort. Once again thanks yall.

Horrible for the industry. They are just a 3rd party money maker who get a cut when they hire you to the company.

    driverdriver and Toomanybikes Thank this.

I've used head hunters in the past, turned me on to some interesting gigs. I never took any, as they were not quite what I was looking for. I would use them, as long as they are not charging you. If they ask for a credit card, hang up.
