California, from what I've read, already has rolling blackouts due to A/C useage. Not long ago we pushed our power grid to the limits simply due to all the block heaters and space heaters being used in a cold snap. An electric car is going to suck up a lot more juice than a 1500 watt block heater.

I think this might be my next pickup. I was debating trading the F-250 for a Tundra and I still might but this would be great for short trips and going to town.

I have a real problem paying over 20k for a new vehicle. In 08, I recall being able to get a 2 wd Chevy full size p/u with a decent amount of options, for $20k. That’s the last time I considered buying a new vehicle.

Don’t do a Tundra yet, unless it’s an older model. It seems the brand new 2022 models are having waste gate issues. The turbocharged V6 replaced the tried and tested iForce V8 when the truck was redesigned!

If I was looking at a full size truck I would be looking at a used Nissan Titan King Cab short or long bed, more than likely a 1st generation model. The new ones will set you back $40K depending on the trim and equipment! You would think Nissan would be discounting since they plan to discontinue it after the 2023 model year!

:) He probably couldn't figure out the manual choke and the spark arrestor. If he did get it started h'ed probably bust off a few gear teeth and burn the clutch getting it moving.

Thanks for the heads up. I haven't made up my mind yet. I knew the Tundra was over priced and a gas hog but I hadn't heard about the turbo. If I decide to get another F250 at least I kinda know what to expect.

    Oxbow and mjd4277 Thank this.
