I would look into OD first followed by Dayton if I was looking into getting into LTL because of the faster pay progression and higher starting pay. It's pretty rough for new hires because it takes 4 years to get top pay but the ones in my terminal have surprisingly stayed pretty busy this year at least.slim6596 Thanks this.

I know FedEx Freight sucks for guys on the lower half of the board. Sat home many weeks, all week until Friday night and would then run about 2-300 miles and go home. I've been thinking about checking into OD in Indianapolis though.

I worked in the city for them. It's not a bad outfit.

I worked linehaul. The yard I worked out of was full of a bunch of greedy a holes. They not only got all the big money runs (I get that because of seniority) but they also grabbed up any and all extra work that us lower seniority guys could have had to make more money. I'll never go back to FXF. I'm open to other LTLs, especially with the changes here. If I stop making enough money to justify being out all week, I'm gone.

OD is the same way for the bottom board. On the weekends all the city guys take your runs by the time your 10 is up if you haven't had a good week running.slim6596 Thanks this.
