Been doing it for a long time also in fl for a while and then stopped it could not get the freight there on time like the drivers do
Let's see K mart and Sears run by bad management JC Penney is doing quite well... If you think that this new era management in Bentonville really cares about you to keep you around hahahahaha I got some ocean front property for you in Arizona... The writing is all over the wall Walmart used to have very high standards for hiring drivers never had to advertise ever now the advertising everywhere for drivers and now lowering the standards even more with this new pay plan
JCPenney trading around 3.00 per share not exactly doing quite well .Wamart has definitely lowered standars but they are still higher than most carriers
While I don't agree with the low cpm rate, new drivers will still get paid activities, down time, and layover. There is more to it than just CPM. New drivers will probably average 72-75k. Does Swift make this much? If so put a word in for me driver
Thing of it is...most of these drivers out here today ask what the cpm is before they ask you what they are like, where they run or if they have benefits)
Exactly! Pay a guy 70cpm to run strictly the NE with 2 live load and unload each day waiting not getting paid sitting just under 2 hours at each dock, not getting paid for layover. This driver works out his full 14, only clocks 300 miles avg per day grossing $210, but hot Dog man this driver can brag to the world he makes 70cpm.
