    That's the biggest oilfield trucker lie there is.
    The only people that work hard are the guys on
    Top off the rig doing the drilling.
    Everybody else stands around and monitors gauges
    All day.
    This ain't the 1940's anymore,technology does everything
    Else.

    Hooking up a 10ft hose to a tank then standing there
    Eating a sandwich for 30 minutes while the truck fills up
    Ain't hard work.

    The only hard part in the oilfield is the beating your
    Body takes from driving beat down equipment
    Back and forth on leased(dirt) roads.

    Your local p@d guy works 10 times harder than a driver in the patch.

    @ChevelleRednReady

    Walmart is doing everything they can to save money, including purchasing 15 Tesla trucks to save on fuel. Will this money go to bringing the .38 cpm drivers up to .39 cpm? Will they up the $9 hr detention pay to $9.50? How will they spend the millions they save since it will never break down? Obviously giving it to the driver, but how? Two retirement cakes?

    Lmao. Maybe they'll add sprinkles to the hurry up and leave/Retire cakes going forward .. If Walmart turns their profits around but Drivers are still giving up the perks they once enjoyed, that's going to be even worse for drivers attitudes.

    Some jobs, but drivers are usually less than 100 hours.

    I currently work for Sysco and that is harder than anything I've done in the patch. Hauling water and fuel is gravy. Sand is even easier. Oil is easy but you just don't load it, you have to grind it out and test the gravity Etc.
