This has been a bad year at Walmart.

Pretty disappointed but not catastrophic.

The fact that the message said this was driver recommended was the worst part.

 

Or so they say so they can deflect responsibility for it..

 

They put them into a room and tell them what they want and drivers are steered to these "ingenious ideals" ...what choice do they have?

 

The silly crap,,(picture frames, umbrellas, flashlights, ponchos) I could care less about. The buckles I wish would have stayed as is.

The cookout was something that made sense at 06 but at 66 is pointless. 3/4 drivers were never there . The office and shop got fed but only the set run guys and a couple others made the meal.

If they do what they say at least you only have to get to a DC for lunch. Something not guaranteed. I spend two to three days between DCs sometimes if I get caught in the backhaul Sam's loop.

 

Yes the buckle is nice, wish they still did it yearly instead of just little pin. Cookouts are hit and miss, they are usually on my day off, or when I'm running club loads so no chance of being at a real DC.

The thing that burns me is outside carriers stuffing there faces scarfing down the free food then throwing trash in yard, cigarettes butts in walkway and such. Real classy

 

You are right, keep the award gifts, give me the buckle. The cook outs only served the drivers on bids or who happened to be going home that day...many weeks I don't even see a gm dc much less get back to my own dc.

 

I,ll just say this to all want to be WM drivers. If you already have a decent job and are making an ok living, DO NOT quit and come here. This company is a sinking ship and you will be sorry?

 

I take it you saw the new driver map and are displeased?

 

How many ppl are going to quit this week?

 

Who knows? Until folks actually know what the new driver map is, no one can make an informed decision IMHO.
