To be fair that strech is REALLY bad. I have managed to bend a rim hitting some of those potholes and broke a leaf hanger on my pete once. Its been getting worse and worse. So this really doesnt suprise me.

Missouri roads are some of the worst that I have been on. I’ve been on a few in Arkansas, Mississippi and Illinois that were pretty bad. Can’t remember the road but it’s from Springfield, Il. to Peoria, goes right by the airport in Springfield and it was very narrow and big potholes on it. Been a few years now but it used to be really bad.

That would probably be Illinois Route 29.
To be fair in recent years the Prairie State has been rebuilding a lot of highways (for example the I-57/I-74 interchange in Champaign).
When it comes to piss poor roads Indiana takes the cake.

I saw a crash that shut the freeway down the other day in Arizona that completely baffled my mind and baffled The minds of all the old-time truckers on the CB around me. Truck was upside down up a cliff facing the wrong direction that apparently was going and none of us could figure out how the truck got up there. it almost look like it was lowered down from the sky upside down and left up there. Very strange. No way even if he left the road for it to have gotten up this rock embankment as it was way too steep . Made no sense. Completely upside down and cab side facing the opposite direction.

This same thing happened on US287 and I-20 in Mansfield TX the other day. Always have to be aware while driving through a TXDOT project, MO isn’t as bad IMO. TXDOT reroute traffic multiple times in a single project. You’re actually passing between old, new, and temporary road services. This allows lots of water into the pavement and when it freezes, this is the result.

But when they finish the project….there’s to much gridlock in DFW to do any real damage.
