I start year number 28 out here next week. How much longer before I reach the coveted "old timer" status ?

I got 21 years and started with an R model with a whopping 180 hp and a duplex. I thought I was big #### too!

Oxbow and Tall Mike Thank this.

I was going to say that the Mack you drove 21 years ago must have had a few miles on it. But I did a little research, the R model was retired at the end of 2003. It might have been a shinny new truck with a gold bulldog on the hood.

2 sticks and an A40 when I started. Moved up to a B61 and thought I was King of the Road!

Tall Mike, ‘Olhand and Oxbow Thank this.

I started in 88 my grandfather taught me.
He’s still part time trucking at the age 87
    Spry as hell too.
He said he want to make it until 88 years old and that would give him 70 years trucking
The history he has seen is astounding

No it was a 66 or 67 model. Old line haul truck converted to a dump truck.
