Insurance companies are driving the refresher business. It doesn't matter if you had 20 yrs of driving and then took 3 or more yrs off you'll be doing a refresher to get back into trucking.

After all you've gone through, don't give up now.

It gets in your blood-can't deny that.

Even if you have to redo the course, or training...
you'll probably regret it if you throw it all away now.
You've already made some milestones, so get back on that pony & ride!

There's a place / company out there for you.

Not always. That is one reason why I went with mav. With them you don't even have to have ever went to a school as long as you have a CDL.

If you decide to "get out of the saddle you will never ride that horse"....you wanted to go to school and you got it so why not use it? If you back out now I really believe you will regret it...so buckle down and go for it...:biggrin_25519:

If you can drive the Sisters or Cabbage during the winter, you can drive anywhere in any weather conditions.
Besides, you say you are scared of heights? Even on the highest pass, you are never more than 6 feet above the ground. Think about it...

I agree with roadkill....its totally different in a "BIG RIG PULLING A 53' TRAILER"....I am sorry to burst your bubble but a four wheeler is nothing compared to a tractor-trailer....it not even in the same league.....

'The Sisters' are three mountains that are grouped together, not very far from Bend,OR. I drove that road, with less than one week in my trainer's truck. It was May 05, and there was still snow on the road! We were MT, and it got a little unnerving at times (esp with the log trucks running about 60 mph loaded or MT), but I made it to Bend, only ran over one curb, and got through the scales in Sisters without a problem.

If you want to get back to driving, then go for the refresher and get riding again! And odn't listen to any bull-#### anyone tried to scare you with; stay calm and enjoy the ride (and scenery). I will never forget that ride, because it is just plain beautiful!

I didn't know there was a "sisters" in OR. I always thought that was the stretch of I 80 just east of Evanston WY. They can be "fun" too.
