This is my story *Doink Doink* Pt1 ( WIA GRANT->Trucking school->Job )

####, glad I didn't have to jump through all of those hoops. I was unemployed in late 08'- early 09' when unemployment sent me a letter saying I HAD to attend a seminar at the local workforce building.

I didn't even know it was there. Was not told about it for the previous months I was looking for a job, I didn't have a computer I was just hitting the bricks everyday looking for work. From the day of the seminar I was signed up for the WIA grant, was able to show up everyday and use the fax, copier, computers etc to help me find a job. It still took a few months for the process to happen and for a opening in school but in the end it was a fairly simple process. It was also a relief knowing I had many more tools at my disposal, training on the horizon. And to think, I wasn't even going to attend the seminar but had to in order to keep my benefits. Go figure!
