By "worst" I wasn't talking the grade itself. I was referring to the number of drivers that don't live to the see the other side!

Looks to me the guy in the second video is going way to fast! Did not account for cargo shift or anything.....

I come down Monteagle last week and there was an 18 wheeler in the first runaway ramp.

I come down it yesterday and there was new tracks in the 2nd runaway ramp.

What's going on?? This mountain is so easy to handle.

It doesn't look like a brake issue in either case. It's sad to see someone get killed but it can happen anywhere. I was involved in a two car two fatality accident just going down the road. At no fault of mine a guy decided to pass me on a two lane road right into another vehicle. He came around me so I moved as far as I could onto the shoulder and the pick-up coming at us went over into his shoulder but went too far and ended up in the dirt. He oversteered and his front tire caught the pavement and shot him right into the van that was passing me. One driver burned alived and the other just didn't make it. The van flew up into the air and his front rim came down on my tank shaving the metal but did not rupture the tank. I was fully loaded with 8800 gallons of gasoline. There was nothing I could have not done different and believe me I if'd it to death.

So you've got to keep your head on a swivel and keep your eyes moving. These two accidents clearly look like driver error and speed was the cause. But you never know.

I agree, speed was most definitely the issue. Along with over steering.
