I dropped one in my 1st year of driving. I was always in a rush and the tug test was always good enough for me. One day I hook up for a west coast run, do the tug test and start to roll. Make a left turn toward the gate and I can feel the trailer sliding. I hit the brakes and the trailer lands on the front tires of my rear tandems. Took about 10 minutes of cranking in low gear to get it back up. Learned my lesson and I always visually check the 5th wheel, along with the tug test.
This probably happens to almost every driver at least once in their driving career, especially the rookies. Always in a #### hurry, lol.
