I want to hall to and from the oil fields. I don't much care what I hall. I am near Houston with my learners permit and trying to get onto a school because most companies say experience or a certificate from a school. I was going to just get a truck and do the driving test but then I saw they want school people. I just want to drive in the dirt and get paid. First does it matter what school I go to? Can I just go do the driving test and get my hazmat and tanker? I will get the double triple too just in case I ever need it. Can I make the money here near Houston or is there better money somewhere else? I can be gone somewhere else tomorrow for all I care if the pay is right.
This is what I want How do I get it

One way or another I am starting school in less than two weeks. I will get my CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double.Triple. Then if I don't already have a job in the oil field when my hazmat background check comes back then I will go to Midland and start hitting the yards with my license in hand. I hate these companies online wanting you to fill out the app without even telling you how they pay ;et alone the amount.

Unless you know someone more then likely you ain't getting hired on pulling haz-mat in the oil field with 0 years of experience. From all the listings I see in the oil field most require 2 yrs experience.

I have talked with two that will put me pulling hazmat with 0. I don't mind getting dirty or working. I would rather be covered in mud and have sore muscles than sit on my rear for fourteen hours a day listening to the hum of the road. I would even take the ND winters first. There are no IED's or people shooting at me? Then I have no worries. If you say you can't then you can't. Me I never listened to people tell me what I can't do; ever. Life is too short for a can't do list. As for me I burn the boats because you can do anything if you are properly motivated.

Just found an accredited school that requires that you have passed all the sections except hazmat. Because you can't take hazmat until you have you unrestricted license. Because they spend six weeks teaching you how to drive right. You have to have tanker because they only teach tanker. I made a couple calls and was told that if I went to school there then they would hire me as soon as I was cleared for hazmat. I don't mind sharing the school once my seat in the class is confirmed I have to wait for the class to start and then six weeks of class and then thirty days for hazmat and then I will be rolling. Plus they cost less than any other school.

That be a good deal. I went to a 2 wk course to get mine and spent 12 wks with a trainer with the company I hired onto. -
Keep at it Flat! I just finished an 8 week course here in TN that was $1100. I thoroughly enjoyed the class and became confident driving just about anywhere! Keep me informed on what you find out down in those parts about tanker!
