Seen an article about a truck driver charged with driving under the influence. Googled the drivers name to try and find a story with more info and came upon an article from 26 years ago where the same driver was charged with driving while intoxicated after laying a truck over on it's side.

So he went 26 years without getting caught is more likely. Odds of getting a impaired are slim in Toronto unless you get into a collision. New laws he will require a interlock when he gets his license back in a year or three. Good chance he continues to drive without a license knowing the odds are with him

Just because he wasn't caught doesn't mean he wasn't doing it.

What exactly ARE your DUI laws in Canada, btw? Just wondering. We don't hear about y'all in the news as often as we do "our guys" here in the states.

It's a felony here. Most provinces, if you blow over the limit, your vehicle is impounded for 30 days, licence suspended for 30 days, it will cost you upwards of 10,000 once all the legal fees and fines are factored in.

He's from Canada. Since he got his first in the states, he's no longer allowed to cross the border.

    Mike2633 and G13Tomcat Thank this.

Wow... dang~! Well good for y'all, then. Seriously. Maybe we should learn a bit of that here in the U.S. . . . . :(
