How Portland Or. instead of Portland Me.

 

Ive had that happen. told the lady where I was goin and the p/u number the works, and they still loaded me with a different load. check paperwork before i signed, and pointed out that this was the wrong load... so ya unload (was still in dock thank goodness) and wait another 2.5hrs as they finished up my load and loaded it for the right place i was goin. lets say the least i was none to happy. but i did get some detention pay out of it and got the load to the right destination the next day.

 

Knowing me I would have noticed this problem five minutes before arriving in Oregon lol.

 

Years ago when I hauled brass rod, we had a customer in Denver, Pa..
And every now and then we would go to Denver, Co.

I heard about them saying you want to go to Denver. Driver says yes. Then find out they are going to Pa. not Co.
So one time they ask you want to go to Denver? I ask Pa. or Co.? Co. they say. Ok I ld. and leave out Fri. evening. Met one of the other guys about half way through the trip.I ask him, where are you going? Denevr he says. Just grinning as he got a ld. going west.
I wonder as this customer only gets about 6 lds. a year. I say check your bills I bet you're going to Denver, Pa..
Yep he had a ld. going to Denver,Pa. boy was he pissed.. Plus about 1000 miles the wrong direction...
