This just came in. Truck driver with one month experience killed

There was an Asian attending our school that put in 390 hours, on his 5th trip to the DPS the school was told not to bring him back until he had a lot of help with his driving skill. He was ultimately dismissed from the school, 390 hours on a 160 hour program now imagine if he had done just well enough to get by the test.

 

RIP driver!

 

Last time I was in Korea there was a news article about a woman that finally got her driver's license after failing the driving test 65 times. They actually commented that this was a great example of persistence. I thought it was a great example of why I never drove in Korea after trying it once.

 

I got caught in a 4 mile long traffic jam yesterday on I-294... A flatbedder rear-ended something (It was gone by the time everyone trickled past) and they were trying to pick up the stuff from the broken pallets on the flatbed when I went by. Apparently flipping over loads of batteries happens too much on I-294 as well. It's a ramp that gets 'em.

 

China is worse than Korea. Watching them brings back memories of going to a state fair and watching the bumper car rides.
