They will certainly fire you for other reasons. It's dirty but how it's done in a dirty business world. Don't rock the boat and don't create a trail regulators or lawyers can follow.
As others have genuinely articulated. There are plenty of good companies to work for that would applaud and reward your diligence with new tires. Go there.
This tire needs to be replaced ASAP right?

I had one let go about a month or so ago, literally 15 miles after being replaced (wonderful recap) and it was the first time in 20 years it made me nervous, certainly affected the truck, pretty violent shake and #### near caused an accident because of the reaction of the person beside me, made a beeline for the guardrail in the median for whatever reason. So although major consequences of a drive tire letting go are rare, it can happen. But I agree with @kylefitzy that description of absolute catastrophe is a bit much.
kylefitzy Thanks this. -
My 2 cents, I feel bad now, located my empty did inspection on it saw it need at least 2 tire like yesterday, didn't put in a dvir, only told my dm he said take it, as I couldn't bob, I took it, droped it off at a distribution center, in nut shell, I stopped taking emptys unless it's getting fix now.
