Sorry for the late reply. Parking in SB is tough. PM me and I’ll give you some options.

Life is good. I’ve got a good lane, and people I like working with, hopefully it lasts awhile longer. I’m still happy with landstar. Just earned another safety award. That makes (3) in a row.

My wife and son are great, happy, healthy, and a joy for me.
Lots of funny road stories. Lots of snow this year. Lots of days of chaining.

I bought a Lavazza espresso machine for my truck. I’ll post more on that when I get some decent cell service.

Been looking at new (or new to me) Volvo 860’s. I just broke 700k on my Freightliner. My truck has been steady with only the usual repairs.

Other than being fat as $&@# life is good. LOL

I bet it has 1000 mg sodium. Please stay away from those things. Make a smoothie of two eggs, banana, strawberry, spinach, kayle, carrots, milk, almonds and call it the day

@otterinthewater - I thought you moved to Florida. Anyway, congratulations for a successful trucking career.

Always good to hear that things are right with the world. Think positive and be grateful for your successes.

Snow pack across the mountains is actually a good thing. Drinking water for the future. I’ll take what we can get. Would like to complain about all the snow and the problems with extreme temperatures. Has caused a few problems with equipment. Nothing that can’t be quickly corrected, plus lots of anti gel.

700k is good lifespan. Should be able to get another 150k before things start needing a serious look.
The Volvo is a nice truck. They eat steer tires from what people say. Wouldn’t be in a big hurry to get into something, starting to see the secondary market coming down in price. May find a good deals soon.

I read somewhere he built a new home in Tampa area and is "keeping on trucking." Maybe I should lay off the oregano flakes and rolling papers.

Didn't you hear? FMCSA just approved random drug-tests for former truck drivers as a condition for receiving Social Security retirement benefits.

otterinthewater, Opus and Chinatown Thank this.
