Do you leave your things plugged in all the time? laptops plugged in etc. While I'm asking about that what about 12v coolers? Keep them running no matter?

I leave mine plugged in all the time and i have a 12v waeco cooler that stays plugged in as well.

I have had no issues with the shop or the truck what so ever.

I leave my cooler plugged in all the time unless I'm on home time. I usually unplug the inverter unless I'm using something, but not sure it matters.

I had two 400 watt inverters and the coleman 12 volt...and the batteries only complained after 12 hours if I wasn't running the truck.

Left my cooler plugged in for a couple hours once.

    Had to jump the truck.

The company had no sympathy for drivers that left them plugged in and had to pay for jumps.

My company sent me on a load to St. Louis with a leaking power steering pump. They did not have time for the mechanic to fix it, but yet, I could drive it down there and sit and wait for 5 hours before the shippers appt.

So, they asked me to change it.

    Like a rookie, why not.

It took longer, because two of the bolts stripped off and I had to get the mechanic to come out anyway. Meanwhile, forgot the cooler.

Jump required. Thankfully, they were okay for one time, since I had tried to fix the truck.

I work for Swift but I am too poor to own a cooler.:biggrin_25523: I do have a inverter to power a few things but I always UN plug it when I am done with it.
