The Volvo's are a little faster on flat ground. My first flatbed truck only ran 48 mph from Phoenix to Gary
I limped the whole way on 2 blown injectors the shop couldn't find in Phoenix.
AZS Thanks this. -

i just picked up a 400w inverter. i am using it for my xbox. the inverter is the cobra model with the option to use the ciggy plug or direct to batt clamps. a sticker on the ciggy plug warns not to use the plug if drawing over 150 watts. since my xbox and monitor together draw 200 watts, i thought i would give the plug a try anyway. after two hours gameplay, the plug was definitely hot. i am in a volvo and using the bunk outlet. of course i have to run the engine while i play or every low batt alarm in this thing goes off when i fire up the xbox.
i was thinking about getting some cheap 12 gauge jumper cables, cutting the clamps off one end and crimping on some ring terminals. i would then run them through the side box to the batts whenever i play xbox, which isn't very often, so it's not that inconvenient. -
I have a 2010 Freightliner. I have a colman cooler that stays pluged in all the time. At night if the batteries get near 12v output available, the truck will shut down all auxilery power, including the cooler. The wabasco will still run though.
