Here's a Dollar General trailer from one of our drivers.

    I dunno.

I would bet that 99.243 percent of drivers do not make it past 6 months on these accounts.

Been local for most of my career.
It's funny, I had a union friend of mine throw a ##### fit because I'm here instead of taking a local teamsters job. I'll try the dream first, in a close to new truck, with good benefits and decent pay.
I can always go home to the traps that most ltl/ p&d companies operate. Plus, I worked the last 13 months with restaurants. I'm all set with that group of whiny owners for a while. Look guys, I found what works for me. If I don't like it, I'll take my ball and go home. But Werner is offering things that work for me. Maybe not you, but me. Union ltl will be there when I get home.

    Shaggy and TruckDuo Thank this.

Hitting bridges is not the smartest thing to do.

I drive by a yard full of western express trailers that were hit by a bridge most likely in NYC now I stay away from those guys

This is the fallacy of ELD's. Are the guys who service this accounts logging all of the time at consignee as on duty? Of course not. They are physically exhausted but the silly machine(and their operations people) says you have hours left, get going. So 13 hours in after killing themselves unloading for 4 and driving for another 8 they are not safe drivers.
And all for what? To deliver the cheapest Chinese imports that are going to be in a landfill in a month.
I got an idea, eliminate the middle man. Just take the trailer directly to the landfill and roller it off into the dirt...
