i did a few FD loads when i first started driving. But back then no rollers---we just used a handtruck, brought everything to the tail of the trailer and the store staff brought it inside. i can't say i really enjoyed it.
Also, i don't want to comment on the water thing right now as i don't have much experience with it in hot weather, but i do hear gatorade/energy drinks and juices are all ok if you are really moving around.
Can i ask how much FD loads generally pay these days? Does "$200 per trailer" mean what i think it means" -
2800 pcs. I make $220 to unload trailer + 44cpm for 300 mile round trip from dc and back -
-
How many loads can you do per week?
(starting to salivate........) -
That would be a good gig for a lease driver if they pay more than 1.25 a mile.

Was talking to a US Xpress guy who was unloading at our local store and the work he did for the slave wages he got was shocking....I would be telling someone to get F'ed.
Then again we are talking about the usual suspect mega carriers... -
For many, the offering of being home regularly is worth the trade off. Lots of trucking jobs involve a lot of labor at stops. But some pay better than others.
It's not for me but somebody will think it's great.
