I am wondering about folks' experience with ATBS. Are they worth the money? Good tax prep? How about the business advising, profit and loss statements, etc.?
Thoughts on/Experience with ATBS?

Find an accountant that can handle transportation business. Keep your material region. Much nicer to go over and personally see your accountant than doing it over the phone. Any accountant can give you Profit and loss statements and other necessary financial info. Phoenix

I agree with Phoenix... to a point.
If you know a good accountant with a transportation background then you're set. If you are the average joe blow who is looking for them in the yellow pages then you might want to go with ATBS.
They have handled my accounting and tax prep for the past 30 months and I've found the service to be satisfactory to excellent. I mostly need them for the tax work and they have done a good job in that department, I feel. The P&L stuff and business advice I'm not looking for anyway, so no big deal there.

My best friend went with ATBS and he found out it was a joke. Lost paperwork and then weeks later it is found. Every time he called he would get the person that was doing his account's voice mail and then they always had trouble returning calls for some reason. When his taxes was done and they said he owed several thousands of dollars his first year in business which their was no way he owed that much he paid them and then went to a tax person closer to home and one that new trucking and found out they messed up on several items, he ended up owing around a grand.
I use a local tax man that knows trucking and have a very good luck and know problems and if I did all I have to do is drive down town to his office.
