The emissions engines at very clean. If you ever been to CA or know anyone that has. Ask them how the feel breathing the California air. If you or they say ok then your good to go. The emissions engine trucks are actually cleaning the California air.

Fellers i think u forgot these emissions systems put out clean air . Weed burners on new trucks is alot different than a weed burner on an old non dpf/def truck. Never had a problem with them. U would be surpised how many new trucks are actually weed burners but still have stacks . Alot of those stacks are just decoration or just 1 of them is hooked up

diesel exhaust still contains carbon monoxide and dioxide. lesser amounts ,yes, but still not healthy to breath.

Doesn't carbon monoxide sink anyway? I always heard you should mount a CO detector lower in the bunk, I assume for that reason.
I read an interesting article awhile back about CO emissions from diesel engines. Wish I could find it but the gist was that diesels put out very little of it when idling or lightly loaded compared to gasoline engines. Sleeping in a gasoline powered vehicle would make me nervous. A brand new truck like that with all the emissions stuff I wouldn't worry about it. (I would try not to idle because of the emissions stuff though.)D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -

I rarely have trouble in a truck stop from the smell or fumes from an idling truck. The APU's on the other hand get me all of the time. Some of those things smoke like an old lawn mower.
