I ran over a guard rail, a pole, and a parked van. I was getting into to much of a rush. It's been 7 months since my last issue because I've slowed down and if I'm not sure about something I GOAL. My fleet manager told me that while we try to be courteous to other drivers (cars) most times it's easier for them to get out of the way. Anyway, I was on the verge of being terminated, and I'm really surprised that I wasn't, but I think I might have saved myself by sitting down with them and telling them that I know where I went wrong and what I intended on doing to fix it. I guess what I'm thinking is that if you are honest about the problems you've had with any potential employers and own up to your mistakes and show them that you really want to do this job and are capable of doing it, maybe someone will give you a shot. I think even if you have to be sent out with another trainer so you can be evaluated might even be worth it. So, to answer your question, I do think that you have another chance, I'm just not sure where.
Three incidents and you're out?

3 incidents and a termination since January. You are unhireable by any of the big companies for 3 years and then you wil.have to start all over. You're only hope is to find a small outfit that will be willing to take a chance on you.

Running the northeast as I have been, you would think that scraping a trailer is a skill that is taught and perfected. At least within the Teamster ranks. Heck, that's how the yard jockeys align the trailers into their spaces when they're not quite squared up.
