having issues throwing straps over containers, pods and other tall loads. Slightly limited throwing ability due to back injury. Usually only haul the occasional container or pods to get out of an area. Would like suggestions to make strapping these loads easier.

Give it a shot. Enough slack for hook then put roll in launcher give it a throw.

Use a lead bag attached to thin rope. Throwing over a load is a piece of cake, then pull the strap over.
I have a bad shoulder and can't throw high any more. This is the way I do tall loads.
    Good luck

Had thought about something similar with a rope and ball. Then pull the strap over. May take a few but I ain't in a race. Just need to safely secure load.

I use the slingshot method. I will have to take pictures in order to describe how to do the slingshot. Will try to get some pics tomorrow.

I get shipper to at least help put the tarps up top. Once up there.. I can work out how to roll them out and cover the load. If they can not at least help me get them up there, then I have no choice but to cancel the load. I'm not hurting myself just to tarp a load.

I've had some crazy tall loads,.. with awkward things to lift it over. I'm as fat and out of shape as they come,. I still manage.

This was a sum botch to tarp.

And another monstrosity that had to be tarped.

Yeah tarping is another issue. I just carry a single 6ft drop. Get them to put it on the load if it needs more than that I'll let a more able bodied driver book it. Had a back injury and some nerve damage when I was 18. Wife said I should just pull vans. I love the variety of step deck. There is some challenges but it keeps things interesting. So if y'all see a dude in a black w9 limping like hell and struggling.....help a brotha out lol

We are poor people. I have a long rope and tie a big shackle nut on the end of it.. Throw it over the ld. and tie strap on rope and pull strap over..
