We just got a big bid to haul bridge beams for Old Castle. We move a LOT of precast stuff from pipe to bridge beams and everything in between. Two years ago we had to haul what they call double boxes. Basically it is a box culvert with an extra wall in the center to make 2 boxes out of it. Each one was 14' wide and 77k.
It was also my first time pulling a lowboy with a booster. I was warned about it so when I had to make my sharp turn we dropped the air on the booster but after I got unloaded I thought the driver that helped me had adjusted the air pressure down so I put more in it. Really weird feeling driving a straight truck that long... LOL I could spin the trailer tires at the first spot I could pull over.

This week I saw a flat bed truck on the side of the road with 3 steel coils all of them shifted and ready to fall over on there side, I thought oh boy that's not good.

I didn't get any I was driving, but they had a very good left lean on them any further and they would have fallen off the side of the trailer into the grass. The driver was on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck or crane to come so they could prop the coils back up and re-secure them back down.
