My husband just recently had an incident in Miami where a car was in his blind spot. When he went to merge, the car sped up causing him to hit the back bumper. He pulled over, gave the other driver all his info and the other driver elected not to call the cops at that time. After my husband left, he apparently had a change of heart. We only know this because we're now receiving in the mail stuff from traffic lawyers. My husband is currently trying to change to a new company. Should he report this to them just in case it becomes a further issue? Note we haven't received any thing in the mail regarding the actual citation.

If it wasn’t reported to the police or motor vehicle department I wouldn’t say anything yet.

Typically they ask for convictions, not accusations (tickets). Then there is the fact you haven't actually gotten a ticket. Heck, those lawyers could be looking at an insurance database and not a court docket.
I'd ignore it on apps right now, but if you do end up getting a ticket to take a picture of the envelope with the postmark to show when you got it.
Also, probably will need to list the wreck anyway. Sounds like hubby was at fault. (Yes I know blind spot, but that's really not an excuse.)Grumppy Thanks this. -
What was he charged with? Did he tell his company? Definitely get a lawyer.
