he didn't even have pants on...??? sounds like a whack job to me...

in any event, plead the ticket in court, see what happens. i've been on 17 quite a few times, yeah, they cut you off.. you'll end up paying court costs if you're guilty. given everyone is hurting for cash (pants-less cop) i suspect they will find you guilty.

Funny, "no pants on". Didnt notice that. I might bring that up in court.

Maybe he had his dash cam running and it will show the conditions, what he told you and what you did...AND what he was wearing!

reminds me of several stores or restaurant signs that read,

"No shirt, no shoes, no service"....

so the way i see it, they do not specify pants, so a person should be able to be served not wearing pants..!!!

    seems fair to me....:biggrin_25521:

Went to court today. Place was loaded, a lot of local DOT tickets. Anyway, there was no talking to anyone, they werent intrested in anything you had or wanted to say. First you waited to see the court clerk, he asked if you wanted "no points", I said "please". He then told you to go the the next door. This is where the judge asked you "plead" "Plead to what" I ask, some parking infraction, I plead "guilty" he then proceds to tell me all the fees, holy shi$......Fine $137 / court cost $33 / Misc fee (what the hell is a "misc fee") $250 Total $440. The judge was handing this $250 fee out lke it was candy. Oh well, got my wish, "no points"

The towns have already raised property taxes to new highs which forces many seniors into fleeing to Florida, or the Carolinas, for their retirement. Christy refuses to bring back the Millionares tax (his brother is a Billionare);so they raise the fees on everything else they can think of.Not having your DL or insurance card in your possession, automatic fine $165.
Buster, that lets make a deal game you play w/ the prosecuter is really a bargain when you figure what points do to your insurance rates.I know it hurts to pay but the alternative is much worse.

They slide those in as an Administrative Fee, to change the paperwork around usually. Which is a racket, because someone has to spend 5 minutes at a computer terminal to change the charge. :biggrin_25510:
